A Fresnel lens is a type of compound lens, often used in lighthouses, designed to reduce the amount of material needed compared to a conventional lens by dividing the lens into a series of concentric annular sections. The logo depicts circular fractals, sometimes overlapping, to mimic that of light through a lens.
