World Cup Socker (Get it? Sock? Soccer?) was a collaborative project promoting the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Tongue-in-cheek designs and descriptions were created for all 32 qualifying teams and laid out into a “soccer for dummies” style guide book. Two sock designs were actually produced and sent out to clients of Tandem Marketing. 

I designed the Mexico team sock, incorporating a soccer ball pattern into a skull representing Dias de los Muertos — Day of the Dead in Mexico.
